Hotel Details

Large resort like hotel right next to Adventureland Amusement Park in Altoona. The hotel offers a free trolley to and from the park for guests. There are numerous suite options, all of which have two queen beds and a sleeper sofa. There is an onsite restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner as well as a pool bar. We did not eat there. They did provide room service for breakfast and prices were very reasonable. There are two indoor courtyard areas, one has a kiddie pool with a small slide and sprinkler type equipment. It also has a hot tub and a deeper pool with a swim up bar. The other courtyard has a pool with two larger slides and a hot tub. Both have seating and towels available

We spent one night at adventureland inn prior to a day at the park in Aug 2013. Its a nice little resort right next to the park. You are able to park there and take their trolley to the park avoiding a parking charge and it was fun for the kids too! The location and this service cant be beat!! The lobby is welcoming and staff was super friendly and helpful. We had a junior family suite which was one room with two queens and a sofa bed. We also had a fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Our room looked out on the courtyard and we had our own little patio that we enjoyed.

There are two wonderful courtyards and we enjoyed both for hours! The first has a shallow kiddie area and I think our daughter did the frog slide 100 times! The swim up bar was nice as well. The other courtyard was enjoyed by our older kids with two slides and a deeper pool area. Temperature was very comfortable in these areas and the water temp. We did not eat at the restaurant, as we brought our own food from home for breakfast but prices looked very reasonable. There is no free breakfast unfortunately.

The only downsides... beds were not the most comfortable. And overlooking the pool was great... until we wanted to get the kids to bed. It was extremely loud until it the pool closed for the night at 10pm. After about 11pm it did get better and was quiet the rest of the night. Otherwise, we loved the convenience of this hotel and the size of the rooms, the trolley, the pools... I would stay here again, if I could get a room that didnt overlook the pool, or had older children that stayed op later!
